Who are we looking for? Ultrasound Technologist (Registered Vascular Technologist)- Part-Time The ideal Ultrasound Technologist candidate is positive, energetic, intelligent, highly dependable, organized, and can multi-task. The RVT is responsible for performing vascular ultrasound examinations and supporting venous services across our expanding West Coast practices at The Vein Center at Riverchase Dermatology. All vascular work is performed in an office setting utilizing minimally invasive procedures.

This is a great outpatient opportunity with a flexible schedule and no nights or weekends.

Ultrasound Technologist Primary Duties:

• Performing vascular ultrasounds, venous mapping ultrasounds, and lower extremity arterial ultrasounds.
• Assisting providers in providing quality care to patients.
• Greeting and preparing patients for examinations and treatments.
• Setting up and cleaning up ultrasound rooms before and after each patient, ensuring cleanliness and organization.
• Reviewing relevant medical history, maintaining patient records and documentation accurately and confidentially, and maintaining notes in the EMR system.
• Obtaining appropriate consents when necessary.
• Performing patient callbacks and handling administrative duties when necessary.
• Traveling to other practice locations as needed.

Ultrasound Technologist Skills and Qualities:

• Able to demonstrate compassion and caring in dealing with others, patients, and co-workers.
• Able to prioritize tasks, understand provider instructions, and know when to seek information or advice.
• Proficient communication skills (written and verbal).
• Flexibility and adaptability as it relates to schedules, responsibilities, and priorities.
• Able to travel between multiple locations and work effectively in a team environment, maintaining professional relationships with patients, providers, supervisors, and administrators.

Shift: Part-Time; 3-4 days per week with 8 hour shifts

Training

• Training will be provided as needed to develop the level of skill required for the role and to support our minimally invasive venous procedures in the outpatient setting.

Travel

• Travel between practice locations is expected for this position.

Experience and

Education:

• Certificate of completion from an accredited Ultrasound program.
• Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT/RVS).
• Hands-on experience in a clinical setting preferred; will train the right candidate.
• Vascular/vein or surgical experience is preferred, not required.
