- Act as a software test engineer on the Integration & Test Integrated Product Team (IPT) for development and implementation of software test processes.
- Communicate and interface regularly with teammates, other IPTs, and management.
- Coordinate with the Software IPT for joint SD‑test actions and issues.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and report them to the IPT Lead.
- Use automated test tools (e.g., Test Complete) to develop scripts to verify requirements.
- Develop software in a Red Hat Enterprise Linux or Windows environment.
- Shell scripting in Windows Power Shell, sh, csh, tcsh, or bash.
- Introduce automation into the testing process and design implementation solutions.
- Obtain and maintain an FAA Public Trust clearance.
- Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or Graduate Degree with at least 2 years of relevant experience, or 8 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
- Minimum 2 years in: designing, architecting, and testing automation scripts in GUI, API, and Service layers; troubleshooting complex system issues with root‑cause analysis; formal system testing; using tools such as Selenium, Test Complete, JUnit; proficiency in Java, Python, or C#; proficiency in JavaScript, Shell, or Power Shell; test automation frameworks (TestNG, Robot);
Linux system experience; and troubleshooting hardware, software, and communications systems.
- Experience with software testing and Agile Scrum/Kanban methodologies.
- Knowledge of Test‑Driven Design.
- Familiarity with tools that automate hardware provisioning and application deployment such as Kickstart and Ansible.
- Familiarity with software configuration and change management practices.
- Experience using Service Now to test application UIs.
- Knowledge of Continuous Integration/Dev Ops principles and tools such as Git Lab and Jenkins.
- Experience with Atlassian Tool Suite (Jira, Bitbucket, Confluence).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills; ability to manage, track, and prioritize multiple tasks.
