Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Kubernetes and Cloud Engineer with a strong Dev Ops background to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing, implementing, and managing Kubernetes clusters and cloud infrastructure, while ensuring high availability, scalability, and security of our applications.

Essential Functions:
  • Design, implement, and manage Kubernetes clusters to support our microservices-based architecture.
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate deployments and infrastructure provisioning.
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless integration of code, testing, and deployment processes.
  • Monitor and maintain the health and performance of production systems, managing incidents and ensuring timely resolution.
  • Implement and maintain cloud infrastructure using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or similar.
  • Ensure security best practices are followed in the Dev Ops processes, including access controls, vulnerability management, and compliance requirements.
  • Automate operational tasks, leveraging scripting and configuration management tools.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline development, deployment, and operational processes.
  • Keep up to date with the latest developments and best practices in Kubernetes, cloud services, and Dev Ops methodologies.
  • Use knowledge of microservice architectural patterns.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an FAA public trust clearance, which requires U.S. Citizenship.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with a minimum 6-9 years software experience. Graduate Degree with a minimum of 4-7 years of software experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10-13 years of software experience.
  • 5+ years Cloud Software Developer with focus on containerized workloads, databases, and object storage.
  • 5 years experience designing, deploying microservices to Kubernetes based environments such as EKS, Open Shift, etc.
  • Experience developing scalable, highly available enterprise systems, ideally for Cloud.
  • Experience leveraging Cloud services for application development/deployment and using CLI commands and config files to implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
Preferred Additional

Skills:
  • Certifications in Kubernetes (CKA/CKAD) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack).
  • Understanding of service mesh technologies (e.g., Istio, Linkerd).
  • Experience with Git Ops practices and tools (e.g., ArgoCD, Flux).
  • Background in software development and understanding of development workflows and methodologies.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Florida $115,000 - $215,000 and Virginia area is $132,000 - $245,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. L3
