Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is looking for a Principal Project Management (Infrastructure Management) to join our team! This position will be located on site in Melbourne, Florida.
Responsibilities- Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management.
- Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages escorting based on schedules and prepares status reports using program tools such as confluence.
- Assesses project issues and recommends resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
- This position oversees and manages the facilities projects and construction activities for the Program and serves as liaison between program and other team members in the Facilities organization.
- Gather, review, and finalize requirements data concerning facility or equipment specifications, company or government restrictions, required completion date, and coordinates shipping of hardware as necessary.
- Utilizing program gathered requirements, verify that the design for buildings, structures, and other facilities meet the capabilities required within the estimated cost.
- Coordinate with architecture/engineering firms in developing design criteria and preparing layout and detail drawings.
- Prepare documentation for leadership review.
- Track and review costs, including design, construction, and other related costs for each project.
- Manage and execute multiple facilities projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Forecast and report on project status, including key project metrics for Risk, Cost, and Schedule.
- Produce and implement risk mitigation and schedule recovery plans as required.
- Identifies any task that will require special inspection and coordinates with customer and facilities.
- A minimum of high school diploma or GED and 8 years of combined project management, project management, or management experience OR a bachelor’s degree and 5 years of experience in project management, project management, or management experience OR Master’s Degree and 4 year of experience in project management, project management, or management experience.
- Your ability to transfer and maintain the final adjudicated government Secret clearance (DoD must be in-scope or enrolled in Continuous Evaluation) and any program access(es) required for the position within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the Company.
- Ability to communicate effectively and clearly to present technical approaches and findings.
- Experience working with subject matter experts, engineers, and program leads to ensure collection of data is accurate and timely.
- Understanding of the change management process.
- Proficient in MS project, Microsoft Office software applications including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Active DoD Top Secret Security Clearance.
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- Knowledge of construction for classified areas.
- PMP Certification.
