The Line Service & Facilities Manager at Rocket Air Flight Academy (formerly Melbourne Flight Training) oversees daily line service operations, ground support activities, and facility maintenance to ensure the flight training fleet and facilities remain safe, secure, clean, well‑maintained, and ready for operations. This role leads the Line Service team, coordinates aircraft staging and ground support, and ensures consistent adherence to Rocket Air’s standard operating procedures, safety practices, and applicable Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations.

The Manager also coordinates facility maintenance, repairs, inspections, and service requests with approved third‑party vendors and contractors, including scheduling service visits, arranging facility access, communicating work requirements, monitoring progress, and escalating repair needs or expenditures requiring management approval.

Working closely with Dispatch, Aircraft Maintenance, Flight Instructors, and Flight Academy leadership, the Line Service & Facilities Manager supports efficient flight training operations, maintains high standards for aircraft and facility readiness, and promotes a culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, and exceptional service.

• Supervise, schedule, and coordinate Line Service Technicians to ensure appropriate staffing, operational coverage, and efficient daily operations, including recruiting, onboarding, training, performance management, and employee development.
• Promote a strong safety culture by training employees and ensuring compliance with Rocket Air's documented processes and procedures, applicable FAA requirements, aircraft handling and towing standards, ramp safety, Foreign Object Debris (FOD) prevention, aircraft security, and cleaning standards.
• Conduct and oversee routine safety inspections, ensure required training and documentation are maintained, and promptly address or elevate hazards, aircraft damage, discrepancies, incidents, near misses, and other safety concerns.
• Oversee daily ramp operations, including aircraft towing, repositioning, staging, parking, securing, and opening and closing procedures, in coordination with Dispatch to support flight training schedules and aircraft readiness.
• Establish and monitor procedures for aircraft condition checks, cleanliness, detailing, and discrepancy reporting, ensuring concerns are communicated to Dispatch, Aircraft Maintenance, and other appropriate personnel.
• Oversee the availability, condition, safe operation, and maintenance of ground support equipment, golf carts, and operational supplies, including engine oil and other approved consumables.
• Manage the cleanliness, organization, safety, and general condition of hangars, ramp areas, and designated facilities, coordinating routine upkeep and identifying maintenance, repair, and improvement needs.
