Acara Solutions is seeking highly qualified candidates to work on-site with our customer in Melbourne, FL.
Here's what you'd do:- The SMT Operator I is responsible for set-up, operation and maintenance of equipment in support of Printed Circuit Board Assembly processes and procedures. Reports to the Operations Manager
- Set-up, operate and maintain screen printers, glue machine, reflow ovens, SMT placement machines, stencil cleaners, conveyors, and other equipment used in the assembly of Printed Circuit Boards.
- Interface with complex machine hardware and software.
- Identify and report defective components.
- Inspect own work to ensure accuracy and integrity of work performed.
- Ensure product meets established workmanship standards.
- Follow written and verbal instructions and maintain data logs.
- Responsible for the cleanliness of work area and surrounding work space.
- Responsible for the accuracy of work-in-process.
- Participate in quality teams as required.
- May train other employees.
- Other responsibilities as directed and necessary for the business.
Pay: $17/hour
- Shifts:
- 1st Shift: M-F, 7:30 AM-3:30 PM
- 2nd Shift: M-F, 3:30 PM-11:30 PM (+10% Shift Differential)
- 3rd Shift: M-F, 11:30 PM-7:30 AM (+10% Shift Differential)

Job RequirementsHere’s what you’ll need:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 1 year of experience operating or maintaining manufacturing machinery, interpreting technical documents, and troubleshooting
- Active IPC-610 Certification
- Active IPC-610 Certification
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check and a drug screen
