We are growing and adding an
** Industrial Engineer II – Manufacturing Operation
** position supporting our CNS (Communication, Navigation, and Surveillance) product lines in our Melbourne, FL facility. In this role, you will
** make an impact
** by evaluating and solving everyday manufacturing problems related to design, process, and supplier issues for the manufacture of high-quality electronic assemblies. You will provide technical support to operations in the form of enabling and improving the flow of manufacturing utilizing the LEAN principles. Our ideal candidate will be a curious self-starter with excellent teaming, communication, and relationship building abilities. The candidate will also have a passion for LEAN principles and processes and be eager to contribute to improved efficiency and productivity, and Test Yield.
Provide capacity planning and utilization analysis for accurate staffing and identify new and optimize approaches that will minimize production staffing needs and capital requirements.
Analyze and understand factory needs and requirements. Enhance your technical skills for the entire product assembly and test process, board level through top-level assemblies. Gain practical experience with Lean Manufacturing
** QUALIFICATIONS YOU MUST HAVE:
** Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field or in absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience
Manufacturing and or electrical component trouble-shooting experience
** QUALIFICATIONS WE PREFER:
** Lean manufacturing experience.
Experience with equipment and factory layouts.
Problem-solving skills with ability to proactively identify alternate solutions to overcome difficult technical challenges. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve operational goals.
Experience using analytical and problem-solving skills to effectively identify and resolve issues and mitigate risks.
