• BSN degree preferred but not required

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our D5 CV PCU team at Health First Careers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in critical care and be able to provide exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide the best possible outcomes for our patients.

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in the D5 CV PCU unit
• Monitor and interpret patient vital signs and cardiac rhythms
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Educate patients and their families on disease processes, treatments, and self-care techniques
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care
• Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain a safe and clean work environment

• Valid RN license in the state of Florida
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a PCU or ICU setting preferred

• Current PACU and/or critical care experience preferred
• Must meet unit specific care requirements
• Must be able to speak / understand written and verbal instructions in the English language

• Must have visual acuity and hand-eye coordination to perform clinical tasks
• Must have corrected vision and hearing to normal range
• Must be able to lift, turn, pull, push or ambulate patients / equipment up to 90% of the assigned shift
• Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds unassisted up to 33% of the assigned shift
• Must be able to stand, walk, bend and stoop up to 90% of assigned shift
• Potential for exposure to bio-hazardous waste and known or unknown diseases
