Facility Tech II - Facilities and Construction
Health First is seeking a Facility Tech II to support our Facilities and Construction team.
Position SummaryAs a Facility Tech II, you will coordinate inter‑disciplinary plans of care for patients, document patient care, serve as a clinical preceptor, and contribute to continuous improvement of wound care processes.
Primary Accountabilities- Coordinate evidence based interdisciplinary plans of care.
- Document all nursing care, changes in condition, and treatments on the patient record.
- Serve as a clinical preceptor to undergraduate nursing students.
- Propose alternative treatment options to ensure cost effective plans of care.
- Utilize and care for equipment and supplies economically.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of standards of care and policies related to wound care.
- Participate in research to improve practice and outcomes.
- Provide service to patients and families with sensitivity and respect.
- Respond promptly to patient care per physician orders.
- Education:
Associate’s degree in Nursing (ASN) or Nursing Diploma. - Work Experience:
Three (3) years’ clinical experience. - Licensure:
Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the State of Florida or endorsement. - Certification:
American Heart Association Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider Completion Card prior to start date and maintained. - Skills:
Demonstrated ability to recommend appropriate nursing interventions and maintain effective communication with the health care team.
- Prior experience in wound care.
- Physically agile; may require walking, standing, running, bending, stooping, kneeling, climbing, or crouching frequently.
- May occasionally include lifting or moving objects up to 50 pounds.
- May require moving in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments.
- May lift, turn, pull, push, or ambulate people and/or equipment up to 90% of the assigned shift.
