Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PCU/Telemetry position requiring at least 1 year of experience and a current FL or compact RN license.
Responsibilities

• Work in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) within a hospital setting

• Patient ratio is 1:5

• Day shifts are 3x12 hours, from 7:00 to 19:00

• Every other weekend required or approximately 6 weekend shifts per 6-week period, based on unit needs

• No on-call responsibilities

• Floating required to other units or locations within the same health system

• Must have experience with Epic EMR

• Flu vaccination required between October 31 and March 31, with medical or religious exemptions permitted

• Free parking with decal provided at orientation

• Scrubs in any solid color are allowed, but tops and bottoms must match with no logos or prints

• Former staff or contracted travelers must wait at least 1 year after leaving an internal contract position before returning

• All time off requests must be disclosed at the time of application

• Locals accepted at the same rate as travelers
Requirements

• Active Florida or compact RN license required at time of consideration

• At least 1 year of PCU or telemetry nursing experience required

• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS

• Epic EMR experience required

• First-time travelers not accepted

• Must submit two professional references from a manager, supervisor, charge nurse, or director within the last year
