POSITION SUMMARY The Ambulatory Surgery Nurse Manager is fully engaged in providing No Harm/ Quality, memorable Patient/Customer Experiences, and Stewardship by planning, organizing, managing, and evaluating quality clinical and support services for the assigned Ambulatory Surgery Center. The alignment with, and accomplishments of, the Surgery Center’s philosophy and objectives measure the safety, quality, and memorable experiences received by patients and others from the department.
The Ambulatory Surgery Nurse Manager attends and reports regularly at Medical Staff and Quality meetings.
Defines and communicates a clear, compelling vision for the team that effectively ties into the mission and vision of Health First, and inspirationally leads the team to achieve that vision.
Provides leadership, motivation, coaching, feedback and support to strengthen growth, development and wellness at work to build and foster effective, high performing teams.
Leads change through effective communication, explaining the connection and value to the organization, creating stronger buy-in and urgency, while understanding impact to the team to obtain commitment.
Demonstrates openness to hearing diverse ideas and thoughts; creates a sense of inclusivity; and encourages collaboration across teams to help break down silos to meet the team’s and organization’s goals.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
Associate’s Degree in Nursing, BSN preferred.Licensure:
Current, active State of Florida RN license or endorsement.Certification:
Must hold current American Heart Association Basic Life Support Health Care Provider prior to start and maintainWork Experience:
At least two (2) years of relevant clinical experienceKnowledge/Skills/Abilities:
o Excellent oral and written and interpersonal communication skills.
o Knowledge of applicable accrediting organizations and standards (AHCA, TJC, AAAHC, etc.)
o Ability to interpret and deal with complex situations
o Ability to respond to appropriately to dissatisfied customers.
o Ability to function in a highly stressful environment
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
(Moderate)
Physically agile; may require walking, standing running, bending, stooping, kneeling, climbing or crouching frequently
Medium work that may include lifting or moving objects up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, with or without assistance
May require moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces, including reaching out and above shoulders or over head
May lift, turn, pull, push, or ambulate people and/or equipment with or without assistance…
