First Article Inspector

Job Description

JSG is hiring a Quality Technician in Melbourne, FL. Schedule 7am-5:30pm with EVERY Friday off!

Skills:

• Perform incoming, in-process, and final quality inspections to ensure products meet specifications.

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T requirements.

• Use precision measuring tools, including micrometers, gauges, and microscopes (10–40x).

• Prepare and maintain First Article Inspection (FAI) reports and quality documentation.

• Identify defects and support corrective actions and quality investigations.

• Work with Engineering and Manufacturing teams to resolve quality issues and improve processes.

• Maintain accurate inspection records and follow quality and safety standards.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Previous quality inspection experience in precision manufacturing.

• Must have hands-on First Article Inspection (FAI) experience.

• Ability to read engineering drawings and understand GD&T.

• Experience using micrometers, gauges, microscopes, and other precision measuring tools.

• Basic knowledge of quality control procedures and statistical process control (SPC).

• Strong attention to detail, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Experience with Keyence or OGP optical measurement systems preferred.
