The following outlines responsibilities and expectations for the Cafe Associate role at Sam's Club. This description is not a comprehensive inventory of all duties and qualifications.

• You will be a Team Member
  :
  Maintain up-to-date knowledge of product specifications related to prepared food merchandise; collaborate with cross-functional teams; educate other associates on tools, tasks, and resources; communicate effectively with team members; and be flexible to work in other areas as needed.
• You will be an Expert
  :
  Prepare food according to item specifications; plan future productions and mass productions; prepare for seasonality; adhere to food safety standards, sanitation guidelines, cold chain compliance, inventory management; operate, maintain, and sanitize equipment; understand product and layout execution.
• You will be a Techie
  :
  Leverage digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement; use handheld technology to make decisions related to production, ordering merchandise, receiving club pickup orders, training, and product quality; adapt to new tools and encourage others to use them.
• You will be an Owner
  :
  Drive the performance of the area; stock and rotate merchandise; ensure quality and date control standards; eliminate waste; provide member service by acknowledging the member and identifying needs; assist members with purchasing decisions and payment types; locate merchandise; resolve member issues.
• You will be a Talent Ambassador
  :
  Be a brand advocate; develop, influence, and inspire others to work with respect, support, and teamwork; understand roadblocks and assist in training.
• Complies with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans; using the Open Door Policy; and applying these in executing business processes and practices.
• Completes work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources; collaborates with managers, co-workers, customers, and other business partners; identifies priorities and deadlines; communicates progress; identifies opportunities for improvement; and adapts to and learns from change, difficulties, and feedback.

The cafe team is focused on delivering high-quality, fresh food and a clean, member-ready environment.

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Ability to successfully complete all required trainings and assessments if selected
