Store Donation Attendant Volunteer - Village Thrift
Love In the Name of Christ is a faith-based nonprofit 501(c)3 that partners with 50+ local churches offering people in need help aimed at transformation and freedom in the Name of Christ so they can overcome poverty. We offer resources by participation, basic life skills, and relationship building. Love INC of Brevard is one of over 130 affiliates in 30 states in the U.S., helping over 1 million people yearly by more than 9,000 churches, 6,000 community agencies, and 300,000 volunteers.
Our first international affiliate opened in 2015 in Nairobi, Kenya, and has grown to seven affiliates.
The heart of Love INC is the CH Call Center. Volunteers receive help requests, conduct intakes, action plans and journey with clients to freedom from poverty and brokenness. Love INC identifies gaps in services and resources and helps churches develop ministries to fill those gaps including Service Projects, Budget Mentoring, Career Mentoring, Personal Care Pantry, and Counseling services.

The Store Donation Attendant Volunteer helps unload donations from customer vehicles and transfers items to the Donations Intake area. The Attendant also assists the Transport Team volunteers in unloading the Village Thrift Donations Truck of donated items such as furniture and large appliances, and assists with rearranging the sales floor to accommodate new items.
Principle Duties/Responsibilities- Assist in unloading acceptable donations in a timely and courteous manner.
- Thank the donor for their donations, regardless of size of donation.
- Help unload donations from the customer vehicle and Village Thrift Donations Truck.
- Act as a positive team player.
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Must be 15 years of age or older.
- Weekday availability.
- Flexible scheduling from 2 to 4 hours (12:30 pm to 2 pm, 2 pm to 4 pm, or 12:30 pm to 4 pm).
- Able to stand, walk, climb, stoop, bend, and lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Complete the Love INC Volunteer Application process.
