Direct Sales Agent Specialist (1615) – Direct Auto – Direct Auto Insurance
Job OverviewNational General is part of The Allstate Corporation, offering home, auto, and health insurance through a network of independent agents and direct to consumers.
Responsibilities- Drive new business sales, building rapport and trust with customers.
- Build and retain a book of business at the assigned retail location.
- Attract and generate new customers and cross‑sell existing customers across Auto, Life, Auto Club, and Roadside Assistance products.
- Sell to walk‑in customers and market products via marketing calls, in‑person visits, and community relationships.
- Assist customers and maintain the office sales environment.
- 0–2 years of experience.
- P&C licensing (preferred) or attain required licensure within 90 days of joining.
- Successful closing of insurance and ancillary product sales.
- Exceed sales goals through new product sales and cross‑sell/retention.
- Leverage community contacts to build a sales pipeline and maintain a physical presence.
- Initiate outbound calling to an established target customer base.
- Monitor key competitors and suggest market‑improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with Direct Sales Leadership on marketing and sales processes.
- Deliver optimal results within metrics, including quality, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
- Remain current on company underwriting guidelines and policy changes.
- Receive customer payments, issue receipts, and verify cash drawer reports.
- Unlicensed Candidates: $17.50 per hour.
- Licensed Candidates: $20.00 per hour.
- Base hourly rate plus uncapped monthly incentive.
- Incentive pay, such as commissions and bonuses, based on performance.
- Day 1 benefits including medical, dental, vision, tuition reimbursement, and pension.
- 20 PTO days per year and 6 paid holidays.
- Ability to sell a multitude of industry‑leading products through retail stores and phone.
