We are seeking a dedicated and skilled carpenter who has a positive attitude and the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment. The Florida Institute of Technology is a growing, top-ranked university with over 2 million square feet of facilities to maintain. Work hours are from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with opportunities for occasional overtime.

* Job responsibilities:

*** Framing, trim work, cabinetry, drywall, commercial grid work, flooring, roof repairs, doors, windows, glass replacement, small concrete jobs, TV installations, and both residential and commercial remodeling.
* Perform maintenance and repairs on all campus facilities, both on- and off-campus.
* Perform renovation and remodeling projects.
* Review, maintain, and submit records regarding time and materials expended on projects.
* Operate heavy equipment such as a high-lift.
* Maintain tools and equipment in safe, clean, and orderly condition.
* May be required to work evenings and weekends in an emergency or in support of after-hours Universityevents.
* Emergency preparedness and support as directed.
* Additional Duties as assigned.
