Position Summary

As an Electrical Superintendent, you are responsible for leading crews on various‑sized projects. This position requires performing electrical tasks such as installing electrical equipment, devices, and fixtures, pulling cable, excavation, trenching, and cleaning up job sites, in addition to supervising others. It is a physically demanding role.

Responsibilities General Duties
  • Supervise and mentor field personnel.
  • Coordinate production and attend meetings with other trades and general contractors.
  • Manage manpower and materials to ensure appropriate inventory levels are maintained and staged.
  • Monitor team productivity and provide performance evaluations, constructive feedback, mentorship, development, and discipline as needed.
  • Communicate with Project Management, Foremen, Electricians, Mechanics, and Apprentices regarding production schedules, scope changes, back charges, material, and labor management.
  • Coordinate with other trades during the installation process.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and follow designated job specifications.
  • Lay out electrical work.
  • Operate tools, equipment, and machinery according to established safety rules, policies, and manufacturer guidelines.
Safety and Compliance
  • Follow all state, federal, and company safety standards, policies, and regulations.
  • Maintain focus on the safety of yourself and others at all times.
  • Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with regulations.
Training and Development
  • Actively engage in learning and developing your skills in the electrical trade.
  • Seek professional development opportunities.
  • Mentor and guide less experienced team members.
Communication and Reporting
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
  • Report any issues or necessary corrections to HR or supervisors promptly.
Qualifications Requirements
  • Five years of experience managing crews and running multi‑million‑dollar commercial electrical projects.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English.
  • Physical ability to perform duties requiring frequent medium‑heavy physical effort.
  • Ability to stand, walk, sit, climb, and perform other physical tasks.
  • Be motivated to continue learning and growing professionally.
  • Work in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Proficiency in using tools and equipment related to electrical work, including hand tools, large pipe bending equipment, wire pulling machines, and earth‑moving equipment.
  • Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
  • Familiarity with most aspects of electrical work, including underground, rough‑in, trim‑out, systems, and general construction.
  • Understand and apply all instructions and safety guidelines.
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions.
  • Commitment to quality expectations, and safety and compliance regulations.
Physical Requirements
  • Stand, walk, sit, drive, climb, balance, stoop, squat, kneel, crouch, crawl, grasp, push, pull, and twist. Use your hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms.
  • Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Have close vision and color vision; normal hearing.
Education and Experience
  • Five years of experience managing crews and running multi‑million‑dollar commercial electrical projects required.
