Overview
Facility Tech IV – Facilities and Construction Offsites – Health First. The Facility Technician IV leverages high competency to perform maintenance, repair, and installation of systems across facilities within the Health First Integrated Delivery Network (IDN). The Technician utilizes advanced technical expertise to ensure a safe, efficient, and reliable environment in all on-site and off-site facilities within the IDN.
Primary Accountabilities (Responsibilities)- Conduct preventative maintenance on facility machinery, including inspections, adjustments, and repairs, while complying with Health First and regulatory standards.
- Diagnose and repair issues on systems in their field, maintaining system integrity to support efficient operations.
- Perform installations, modifications, and calibrations of equipment and systems in compliance with applicable codes and regulations.
- Deliver excellent service to associates, patients, and visitors with professionalism and courtesy.
- Document all work in the computerized management system (TMA/FMP) within 24 hours of completion, following documentation protocols for accurate reporting.
- Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls (e.g., STATs) to minimize service disruption and maintain safe conditions.
- Apply OSHA safety practices and manage tools, equipment, and repair components safely; conduct cleaning and lubrication as appropriate.
- Collaborate with facilities leadership to review, coordinate, and implement projects; research, requisition, and track inventory for tools and components to support maintenance activities.
- Provide coaching and guidance to junior Facility Technicians to develop expertise while upholding facilities compliance standards.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Work Experience: Five (5) years of documented journeyman-level operation, maintenance, and repair experience in the trade setting.
- Licensure: Journeyman certificate licensure or equivalent universal credential prior to start date and maintained.

Education:
Additional three (3) years of journeyman-level operation, maintenance, and repair experience. - Skills/Knowledge/Abilities: Ability to provide and maintain required hand tools (job-specific power tools provided); in-depth knowledge of HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, or plumbing systems and applicable codes; proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, or plumbing issues; ability to read and interpret technical diagrams, blueprints, and specifications; strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to work independently, adapt to changing duties, and respond to emergencies.
- Education: Graduate of applicable Trade School.
- Physically agile; ability to walk, stand, bend, stoop, kneel, climb, and crouch frequently.
- May lift or move objects up to 50 pounds; may require movement in confined spaces and varying environments.
- May lift, turn, pull, push, or ambulate people and/or equipment up to 90% of the shift.
- Exposure to varied temperatures, air quality, lighting, and noise; may involve biohazards with OSHA and CDC guidelines.
- Visual acuity and hand-eye coordination; ability to communicate with others and adapt workspace as needed.
- Willingness to travel to various facilities within and beyond county perimeter; may require use of a personal vehicle.
