Software Engineer – OPIR Phenomenology
Location: Melbourne, FL
This position requires an active U.S. Government Security Clearance at the TS/SCI level and eligibility for a CI Polygraph. You will support the development and integration of various intelligence capabilities into testing and operational environments, working on a critical program that uses OPIR phenomenology across multiple networks and hybrid architectures.
Responsibilities:
- Apply software standards and processes to produce high‑quality, extensible, and maintainable software packages.
- Collaborate with technical experts to solve issues and iterate to improve efficiency and reduce technical debt.
- Build and improve automated test and verification software and tools.
- Design robust software systems for integration of existing signal‑processing tools.
- Debug, refactor, and reimplement existing software codebases into new systems and on new platforms.
- Participate in all aspects of the development lifecycle, including planning, requirements development, software design, implementation and build, documentation, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Active Top Secret security clearance, eligible for SCI and CI polygraph.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technology fields.
- 5+ years of experience in related fields.
- Programming skills in Java, Python, and C++.
- Version control experience in Git (Git Hub, Git Lab, Bit Bucket).
- Experience with RESTful APIs, RESTful Web Services, orchestration, and containerization.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 8+ years programming experience.
- Software architecture and modern frameworks with Java, Python, and C++.
- Experience with Kubernetes or other container platforms.
- Experience with formal software development methodologies (Agile).
- Experience writing software implementing algorithms.
- Experience working with Overhead Persistent Infra Red phenomenology.
- Kafka experience.
- AWS/Cloud experience.
Salary Range: $92,000.00 – $ annually, based on job‑related factors within selected geographic markets.
