- Design, develop, document, test, and debug application software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions.
- Conduct multidisciplinary research and collaborate with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software.
- Determine computer user needs; analyze system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls; prepare operating instructions.
- Design and develop compilers, assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems.
- Ensure software standards are met.
- Maintain a DoD Top Secret clearance and Program Special Access within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company.
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited university and 5+ years of experience in software engineering OR Master’s degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited university and 3+ years of experience in software engineering.
- Experience developing software/writing code in C/C++ OR Java.
- Experience developing lab simulation software.
- Interim DoD Top Secret clearance required to start; ability to obtain and maintain clearance within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company.
- Experience in object-oriented analysis and design.
- Experience with integrating software and hardware.
- Experience with Open Mission Systems (OMS) architecture and standards.
- Experience developing software with Linux/Unix operating systems.
- Experience with Agile software development and Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence, Bit Bucket, Bamboo, Fisheye, etc).
- Experience with Cameo modeling for software design.
- Active, In-scope DoD Secret or Top Secret security clearance with SCI.
Primary level salary range: $98,400.00 - $.
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate’s experience, education, skills, and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions and allow employees to share in company results.
