The Role

180 is looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer to help us build a state-of-the‑art insurance web portal. In this pivotal role, you will leverage your solid foundation in software automated quality assurance to implement best patterns and practices that enhance our products.

What You’ll Do
  • Develop Manual Test Plans:
    Create detailed manual test plans to ensure comprehensive coverage of software functionalities.
  • Automate Testing Processes:
    Write automation test scripts utilizing modern scripting tools to enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Define Acceptance Criteria:
    Craft clear User Story Acceptance Criteria to guide development and ensure alignment with user needs.
  • Engage in Agile Practices:
    Actively participate in daily stand‑up meetings with the development team to discuss progress and collaborate on testing efforts.
  • Contribute to Scrum Framework:
    Work alongside the team within the Agile (Scrum) framework to test user stories and ensure quality deliverables.
  • Provide Progress Updates:
    To maintain transparency, share timely updates on testing progress and any identified issues with stakeholders.
  • Build KPI Dashboards:
    Create and maintain KPI dashboards to visualize quality improvements and highlight areas that require attention.
What We’re Looking For
  • Experience:

    A minimum of 5 years in software quality assurance, with a focus on both automated and manual testing.
  • Educational Background:
    Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a relevant field.
  • Technical Aptitude:
    Strong willingness and capability to learn new technologies and modernize tools and processes.
  • Hands‑On Testing

    Experience:

    Proven expertise in creating both automated and manual tests, as well as developing comprehensive written test plans.
  • CI/CD Pipeline Knowledge:
    Experience in establishing or improving the CI/CD pipeline to streamline development and testing workflows.
  • Preferred Technologies:
    Familiarity with Microsoft Azure and experience using tools such as Cypress, Playwright, Postman, and MSTest is preferred.
  • Full Stack Testing

    Experience:

    Required experience testing the full stack, including technologies such as SQL, REST API, C# .NET Core, Vue.js, JavaScript, and HTML.
  • Database

    Skills:

    Proficiency in writing SQL queries and understanding database table designs are essential.
  • Agile

    Experience:

    Familiarity with the Agile‑Scrum methodology is a plus.
