Purpose of Position

The pilot provides a superior air transportation experience with an unmatched safety record. The pilot is the face of Net Jets, delivering technically accurate and safe transportation while offering an exceptional service experience to every Net Jets owner and passenger. In full command of the aircraft, the pilot maintains a professional demeanor and delivers concierge‑level service while performing roles ranging from professional aviator to in‑flight service provider.

Tasks

and Responsibilities
  • Operate the aircraft safely from taxi to landing in accordance with FAA guidelines, OEM checklists, Net Jets Flight Operations Manual (FOM), Aircraft Operating Manual (AOM), and Standard Operating Practices (SOPs).
  • Greet owners/passengers pre‑flight, introduce them, brief the trip, verify itinerary, provide weather updates and safety briefings, and explain any changes.
  • Deliver in‑flight service as required, handling alcohol and catering.
  • Load and properly stow all baggage.
  • Handle flights for owners with pets and those who smoke.
  • Serve as the final authority on the aircraft regarding all operational compliance with safety and regulatory guidance.
  • Act as a liaison for owners/passengers and Net Jets from arrival at the FBO to safe landing and departure.
  • Communicate any maintenance abnormalities or discrepancies to the Company via the Maintenance Control Center (MCC) and complete associated paperwork.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned based on assignment needs.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other (KSAOs)
  • FAA ATP, Restricted ATP, or appropriate R‑ATP certificate with multi‑engine rating.
  • At least 21 years of age.
  • 1,500 hours total flight time or matching alternative hour requirements.
  • 200 hours cross‑country flight time.
  • 250 hours fixed‑wing PIC.
  • 100 hours of night flying or 75 hours with ≥45 night takeoffs and landings.
  • 75 hours of instrument time.
  • ATP written completed prior to indoctrination training.
  • 50 hours fixed‑wing, multi‑engine time.
  • Current FAA First‑Class Medical certificate.
  • FCC Restricted Radio Operator’s Permit.
  • Valid passport and authorization to work in the U.S. and travel internationally.
  • Flexible work hours, including day, night, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to manage rest and remain prepared for flight duty at all times.
  • Duty may last up to 14 hours per day for up to 8 days and include extended travel.
  • Ability to secure required airport and customs security badges.
  • Background screening by the Transportation Security Administration.
  • Valid State driver’s license.
  • Fluency in English (read, write, speak).
  • Service‑oriented appearance and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, especially under pressure.
  • Attention to detail and quick decision‑making.
  • Physical ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 30 pounds frequently, and up to 10 pounds constantly.
  • Comfortable working around animals and owners who smoke.
