Part-Time Registered Nurse

Melfort Family Physicians Group is hiring two temporary part-time Registered Nurses focused on family medical clinic care, emphasizing prenatal and postpartum support. This position is part of a collaboration to enhance patient access and quality care.

As a Registered Nurse at the Melfort Medical Collective, you will report to the supervising physician and clinical manager. You're expected to deliver evidence-based nursing care while managing acute and ongoing clinical needs.

Your role includes facilitating referrals, case management, and providing holistic support to mothers and newborns.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver patient care per clinical practice guidelines

• Support medication coverage applications for patients

• Facilitate referrals within the Primary Health Care team

• Monitor newborn health and provide postpartum education

• Administer medications, treatments, and manage chronic diseases

Requirements:

• Current Registered Nurse status with CRNS

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent

• Proficiency in EMR systems and clinical documentation

• Experience in a Primary Health Care setting is advantageous

• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team
