We are recruiting on behalf of a leading manufacturer in the rail industry, looking for a reliable and hands‑on Operative to join their Strip and clean department.
Responsibilities- Dismantle and clean train braking systems, including removing brake pads with hand tools.
- Follow all health and safety rules.
- Keep your work area tidy throughout the shift.
- Proven experience in an engineering factory/production environment.
- Stable work history demonstrating reliability and commitment.
- Good practical ability and comfortable using hand tools.
- Strong work ethic, able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Physically fit and able to carry out manual work.
- Full training provided for role‑specific tasks.
- Consistent day shifts with an early finish on Fridays.
- Ongoing contract with immediate starts available.
- Opportunity to work in a supportive and established manufacturing environment.
- Monday-Thursday: 07:00-15:30
- Friday: 07:00-12:00
