A LITTLE ABOUT MELKSHAM GARDENSOur new purpose-built home on Longleaze Lane will provide residential, nursing and dementia care, alongside respite and day care.
The home will feature 80 en-suite bedrooms, landscaped gardens, private dining, a cinema, gym and wellbeing facilities, activities room, salon and spa, and family accommodation. Innovative technology, including circadian lighting and acoustic monitoring, will support our person-centred approach to care.
Designed around residents’ comfort, wellbeing and independence, Melksham Gardens will provide a welcoming environment where residents can feel safe, valued and supported while receiving the highest standards of care.
A UNIQUE OPPORTUNITYJoining a brand-new home is exciting – but it is also different.
Depending on the progress of the home, you may join us during the preparation and mobilisation period or as we welcome our first residents. Your exact start date may therefore be subject to change and could be later than initially anticipated.
The early stages will be different from working in an established care home as the team comes together and the home prepares to welcome its first residents. We’re looking for Nurses who are adaptable, confident in their clinical abilities and excited to help shape a home from the very beginning.
Your clinical knowledge, experience and leadership will be invaluable as we establish our care standards, develop effective ways of working and create a positive culture. As a Night Nurse, you’ll play a key role in ensuring residents receive safe, compassionate and person-centred care throughout the night, helping establish a reassuring environment from the moment the home opens.
ABOUTTHE ROLE
Are you a Registered Nurse who thrives on making a real and positive difference to the lives of older people?
Are you qualified and currently registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC)?
Our care teams make a real difference every day, and your professionalism, kindness and compassion will be at the heart of everything you do.
As a Night Nurse, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring our residents receive high-quality nursing and personal care throughout the night. At times, you may be the only nurse on shift, taking responsibility for leading and supporting the care team, maintaining high standards of care and providing clinical guidance where necessary.
You’ll deliver, monitor and re-evaluate residents’ care needs in partnership with each resident, their families, key carers and the wider team. You’ll also liaise effectively with GPs, hospitals and external agencies to ensure residents receive coordinated care and support.
Working nights, you’ll help create a safe, comfortable and reassuring environment, responding to residents’ changing needs and ensuring their dignity, independence and wellbeing remain at the centre of everything you do.
The role is incredibly rewarding, offering a wide range of clinical experiences to develop your skills and opportunities for career progression, all within a nurturing, engaging and rewarding environment.
