Position: Airport Ramp Agents / GSE Operators
Airport Ramp Agents and GSE Operators – East Midlands Airport Complete Workforce Solutions is building a team of experienced ramp and ground-handling personnel for upcoming cargo-aircraft operations at East Midlands Airport. The role will support the safe unloading of cargo aircraft, movement of freight and operation of airport ground support equipment. Duties may include:
Unloading cargo aircraft Moving freight between aircraft and warehouse areas Handling cargo pallets, ULDs, dollies and trailers Operating cargo tugs and other ground support equipment Supporting aircraft turnaround activities Carrying out pre-use equipment checks Reporting equipment defects and cargo damage Working safely around aircraft and moving vehicles Following airport, airline and site procedures Communicating with supervisors and operational teams Applicants should ideally have experience in:
Airport ramp operations Ground handling Cargo-aircraft unloading Freighter operations Airside cargo handling Cargo-tug or shunting-vehicle operation Ground support equipment Pallet and ULD handling Safety-critical operational environments Indicative aircraft shifts may include:
Tuesday: approximately 6:00am–5:00pm Saturday: approximately 3:00pm–2:00am Flight schedules and shift times may change depending on operational requirements. Applicants must:
Be physically capable of completing operational ramp duties Have reliable transport to East Midlands Airport Be available for long and unsociable shifts Be able to provide a full checkable work and activity history Have unrestricted right to work in the UK Complete all required airport-security checks and training Follow strict health, safety and aviation-security procedures A full UK driving licence, previous airport pass and experience operating GSE would be advantageous.
