Role Purpose

The post is based within Council Headquarters, Newtown St Boswells. Business Support provide support to Environment & Infrastructure services.

Responsibilities
  • Processing Invoices
  • Mail duties – processing incoming mail
  • Dealing with allocated tasks within the Transactions mailbox
  • Use of SBC applications such as Business World, Intranet, One Drive and Microsoft packages
  • Manipulating and extracting information within Microsoft Excel
  • Communicating with Service Management Staff
  • Use of bespoke IT applications
  • Providing good customer service to internal and external clients
Essential

In accordance with Scottish Borders Council’s priorities, you will need to be aged 16-24 (at the point of starting the Apprenticeship) to qualify for this position.
