Overview
Are you innovative, enthusiastic, motivated and committed to providing high quality care and treatment? This Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) role will support the General Practitioners to deliver safe, effective and person-centred care to patients in a primary care setting. Successful applicants will work in GP practices, or attend to patients in their own homes. There is also a commitment to the Four Pillars of Advanced Practice, allowing for the development of skills in education, mentoring, audit, leadership, and quality improvement.
Responsibilities- Support GPs to deliver safe, effective and person-centred care in a primary care setting.
- Work in GP practices or attend to patients in their own homes.
- Develop skills in education, mentoring, audit, leadership, and quality improvement as part of the Four Pillars of Advanced Practice.
- Be working in an Advanced Practice role and have undertaken MSC (level 11) Advanced Practice studies to PG Dip level or equivalent. This includes clinical assessment, decision making and non-medical prescribing modules.

- Salary quoted is for full-time hours (37 hrs per week). For part-time hours, the salary will be pro-rata.
- As from 1st April 2026, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part-time hours will be reduced pro-rata. There will be a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay is not affected.
- Due to legislative changes from 1 April 2025, this post may require a different level of criminal records check. If the post is assessed as a "regulated role", appointment will be subject to PVG Scheme. Any change will be confirmed by the Hiring Manager or Recruitment Team. - To work in the United Kingdom, you must demonstrate that you have the relevant permission to work in the country. NHS Scotland Boards will check entitlement to work in the UK as part of pre-employment checks.
- Possible sponsorship via a UK Skilled Worker/Health & Care Worker Visa may be available in some cases, subject to sponsor status, salary thresholds, and post requirements.
