Position Overview
Band 5 nurse opening within Border Stroke and Margaret Kerr Unit. 23 hours per week with shift work nights, days and weekends. Internal NHS Scotland staff only.
Responsibilities- Deliver person‑centred care for stroke patients, including direct admissions and repatriation for ongoing rehabilitation.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support patients post‑thrombectomy service and ongoing care.
- Provide palliative care and symptom management in an 8‑bed ward, including end‑of‑life care.
- Adapt quickly to a fast‑moving, unpredictable workload.
- Support patient and family education and continuity of care.
- Adult RGN with experience or interest in Stroke or Palliative care.
- Band 5 nurse.
- Right to work in the United Kingdom.
