SummaryThe Residential Manager ensures the quality of care and successful daily operations of a residential home for the people served. This includes maintaining quality standards, coordinating the hiring, training, and supervision of staff, financial management of the program budget, and monitoring the medical and clinical needs of the people living in the home.
ScheduleMonday – Friday, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm (40 hours)
Essential Duties And Responsibilities- Ensure program, agency, and accreditation standards are met concerning quality of care, including individual behavior and treatment plans, ISP documentation, HCSIS, and other documentation required by Bridgewell Policies & Procedures.
- Ensure staffing needs of the program are met based on defined ratios and attendance of persons served; coordinate work schedules, hire new staff, and manage per diem/agency relief staff as needed.
- Positively manage staff through monthly supervisions, team meetings, coaching, mentoring, and recognition; provide timely performance evaluations and address performance concerns with program management and Human Resources.
- Ensure employees maintain certifications (CPR/First Aid, MAP, PPS, PABC, etc.) and complete all other Bridgewell and funding source training requirements.
- Oversee administrative duties in finance, human resources, payroll, quality assurance, electronic health records, and Medication Administration Procedures.
- Manage on‑call coverage based on a rotating schedule, including addressing concerns, scheduling per diem staff, and reporting on call.
- Collaborate with clinical and nursing teams to meet behavioral and medical needs; coordinate with all service providers to ensure clear communication and documentation.
- Work with guardians and family members on care issues; communicate proactively to build positive relationships.
- Handle financial responsibilities of the program, including program expenses, overtime monitoring, supply ordering, and monthly budget review.
- Assist people served with financial needs such as managing funds, applying for food stamps, Social Security, Mass Health, housing vouchers/Section 8, and employment.
- Provide direct care when program staff are absent, covering shifts or assisting in other programs as needed.
- Coordinate program community outings and meetings with families; prepare required materials and maintain positive neighbor relationships.
- Manage technology needs, including employee time and attendance and data management/ electronic health record systems; report IT or payroll issues promptly.
- Ensure vehicles assigned to the program maintain registrations and scheduled maintenance; coordinate with the Transportation Department and follow Bridgewell protocols for vehicle use.
- Maintain confidentiality of Personal Health Information and records in compliance with HIPAA and other mandates.
- Ensure safe operations of the program through safety training, conduct audits, and address maintenance needs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred. An Associate’s Degree with a minimum of 2 years in a direct support role or significant industry experience may be considered at management’s discretion.
