Package: £28,000 to £36,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
Working Hours: Full-time, 100% Office-based
Location: Melton Mowbray
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated Semi-Senior Accountant or experienced Practice Assistant to join a growing accountancy firm based in the Melton Mowbray area.
Working directly alongside the firm's Senior Accountant in a close-knit office environment, this role offers hands-on mentorship and training to help develop your career. The practice serves a strong local client base-including local businesses and agricultural clients-who regularly visit the office with records and paperwork. As such, this position requires a dedicated, full-time office presence to maintain smooth daily operations and deliver excellent client service.
Key Responsibilities
- Payroll Processing: Take ownership of running regular client payrolls.
- Client Record Management: Receive, sort, and process physical paperwork, receipts, and records brought into the office by local clients and farmers.
- General Bookkeeping & Accounts: Assist with day-to-day bookkeeping tasks and support the preparation of accounts under supervision.
