Diagnostic Vehicle Technician (148948-IND)
Location Melton Mowbray, England Sector Automotive Salary £50,000.00 to £56,000.00 per annum
Our client, a reputable multi-franchise dealership located in Melton Mowbray, is seeking an experienced Diagnostic / Master Technician to join their modern, manufacturer-backed workshop. This role presents an exceptional opportunity for skilled technicians to work with leading automotive brands, develop their expertise, and secure a long-term career with excellent earning potential.
Benefits:
- Basic salary up to £50,000 depending on experience
- OTE exceeding £56,000 annually through achievable bonus schemes
- Generous joining bonus of £500, with a further £500 after 12 months' service
- Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:30pm, plus 1 in 2 Saturday mornings (8:30am – 12:30pm)

- Diagnose and repair complex electrical and mechanical faults efficiently and accurately
- Conduct servicing, maintenance, and advanced repairs to manufacturer specifications
- Perform electronic Vehicle Health Checks (eVHCs)
- Complete all workshop documentation meticulously
- Provide technical support and guidance to colleagues as needed
- Ensure all work is carried out in a safe, clean, and organised environment
- Continuously update technical knowledge through manufacturer training, including EV systems
- Support the workshop with overall efficiency and customer satisfaction
- NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent qualification in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair
- Proven experience as a Diagnostic Technician, Master Technician, or Senior Vehicle Technician
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- EV qualification advantageous but not essential (training provided)
- Minimum of two years' workshop experience
- Full UK driving licence
- Positive attitude and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship
