Maintenance Engineer

A maintenance engineer role where you don’t be firefighting all day and will have a blend of planned and reactive work, as well as the opportunity to get involved in CI and installation projects.

You’ll be joining an established food manufacturer which produces a range of high quality products and offers benefits including bonus scheme, company pension, and life assurance.

The site is commutable from Leicester, Nottingham, Grantham and surround areas.

As a key part of the engineering team at a well-invested site, as maintenance engineer your responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across the site to minimise downtime and improve reliability.
• Prioritising and responding quickly to breakdowns.
• Identifying and implementing continuous improvement initiatives using RCA techniques.
• Supporting various CI, equipment upgrade, and Capex projects.
• Developing strong working relationships with the rest of the engineering team and colleagues in production.

• Apprentice trained engineer, with an electrical or mechanical bias, with a strong background in planned and reactive engineering maintenance.
• Experience ideally gained in food, drink, or FMCG manufacturing.
• Able to manage and prioritise your workload in a fast paced environment.
• Proactive, methodical approach to engineering, looking for long-term solutions problems.
• A team player, willing to learn from and help colleagues.
