Maintenance Manager

Alexander Steele is delighted to be partnering once again with a well‑established multi‑site food manufacturer. They have asked us to assist with the recruitment of an Engineering Maintenance Manager for their Leicestershire manufacturing operation. The manufacturing base has seen significant growth due to recent investment, and they are looking to bring in a high‑calibre individual who will have full site maintenance responsibility at both day‑to‑day and long‑term strategic levels.

This role forms part of a dynamic leadership team, leading the business through an exciting period of growth and expansion. You will have a great opportunity to put your stamp on this role, continue to evolve & establish the best ways of working, & develop a high level of maintenance engineering standards.

• £60,000 – £65,000 base salary
• Bonus
• 6% matched pension
• Private Medical
• Permanent Mon‑Fri days based role

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering or engineering apprenticeship and/or Level 3+ engineering technical qualification
• Minimum 2‑3 years of experience in engineering leadership within manufacturing (FMCG sector)
• Experience developing and implementing PPM and improvement strategies
• Commitment to continuous improvement and developing team capability
• Self‑starter who demonstrates the ability to work effectively under pressure with strong attention to detail, resilience and flexibility to adapt to rapidly changing circumstances
• Good organisational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple sites simultaneously
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with independent and rational decision‑making skills
