Maintenance Manager

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Manager to join a premier manufacturing site in Leicestershire. This role focuses on proactive engineering, equipment reliability and exciting capital projects. You will support the Engineering Manager to lead the on-site engineering team, manage workloads and drive performance. You will oversee daily breakdowns, mentor staff and collaborate with production and the quality team to hit targets. It is the perfect balance of strategic leadership, team development and hands-on technical management.

Roles and responsibilities as a Maintenance Manager:

• Ensure optimum plant and equipment efficiency while minimising downtime.
• Lead and organise the engineering team, ensuring sufficient cover is always in place to support business needs.
• Optimise maintenance management procedures and PPM schedules to improve site performance.
• Develop cost reduction initiatives and undertake small capital projects as required.
• Conduct root cause analysis for major or repeating breakdowns and train the team to do the same.
• Hold routine meetings with your team and attend shop floor production meetings to maintain clear communication.
