Pay Rate: £16.00 to £18.00 per hour depending on experience

Our Client:

Our client is seeking a motivated and skilled Woodwork CNC Operator and Programmer to join their team. The Woodwork CNC Operator and Programmer will be responsible for programming and operating CNC SCM 220 machinery to produce high-quality woodwork products, using Alphacam software. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in woodworking, technical drawings, and CNC programming.

Responsibilities:

Program and operate CNC SCM 220 Machines to produce woodwork components according to technical drawings and specifications.
Collaborate with the design team to interpret and program intricate woodwork designs.
Maintain CNC machinery by conducting regular checks and preventative maintenance.
Ensure that all products meet quality standards and adhere to safety regulations.
Provide guidance to junior staff and apprentices as needed.

Qualifications:

Proficiency in CNC programming and operating machinery.

Experience with Alphacam or similar programming software.
Experience in woodworking, carpentry, or a related field.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
Strong attention to detail and quality control.
Knowledge of safety procedures and practices in a woodworking environment.

Day-to-day:

Interpret technical drawings and create CNC programs.
Set up and operate CNC machinery to produce woodwork components.
Collaborate with the design team to optimize manufacturing processes.
Conduct quality checks and ensure products meet specifications.
Provide guidance and support to junior staff members.
