- Reporting to the Manager, Organizational & Employee Development, this temporary (up to one year) fulltime position is responsible for developing, designing and delivering internal training sessions to all corporate staff on a variety of topics using the appropriate methods of educational presentation.
- Research, develop, and deliver integrated and innovative behavioural and skills development learning solutions aligned with the Corporate Learning Plan strategies.
- Participate in identifying staff developmental needs using training needs analysis and best practices to prepare learning proposals.
- Assume a leadership role for promoting and enabling the Corporate Learning Plan initiatives.
- Develop learning programs and events, utilizing various methodologies of instruction, including eLearning solutions.
- Facilitate small and large scale training programs for all organizational levels.
- Evaluate skill levels, performance and competence of training participants and provide specialized assistance for individuals.
- Make recommendations based on training session evaluations to maximize effectiveness and impact of future training.
- Develop effective working relationship with external training vendors.
- Work efficiently and effectively in a team environment while sharing knowledge and expertise with other training consultants and subject matter experts.
- Provide assistance and expertise to other training consultants as required.
Qualifications:
- The knowledge and skills required for this position are acquired through completion of a business diploma with an emphasis in human resources and a minimum of three years’ experience in developing and delivering behavioural and skills development training programs.
- Understanding of instructional methods and training techniques, including curriculum design principles, adult learning and blended learning theory and strategies
- Demonstrated presentation and facilitation skills combined with strong verbal, written, and listening communication skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels of learning while maintaining strong working relationships.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to plan, organize and coordinate a variety of duties and projects and adapt to changing work environment.
- Knowledge and experience with computer programs including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and in conducting internet research; familiarity with e-learning software, learning management systems, and web-based evaluation tools.
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills with attention to detail in order to identify and develop effective sessions based on training needs.
- Must be motivated, energetic, goal-oriented and positive with a strong sense of professionalism and diplomacy.
- A criminal record check is required.
- Should the successful candidate participate in the Crop Insurance or Agri Stability Programs, their account must be in good standing.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and be willing to travel throughout the Province.
