About the RoleReady Mix Drivers are responsible for the primary day‑to‑day delivery of Ready Mix Concrete to job sites, homeowners, and industry clients. In this role, you will provide customer relationships, give great service with a friendly attitude, and ensure customers receive high‑level delivery and product from Amrize. This customer‑facing role requires a service‑oriented mindset and a highly professional approach.
What You’ll Accomplish- Maintain equipment by performing daily pre‑ and post‑trip inspections, keeping equipment clean inside and out.
- Build and maintain relationships of trust with customers in your assigned geography, owning their satisfaction at all times.
- Provide consistent and reliable customer service through delivery, ensuring a positive, hassle‑free experience for Amrize customers.
- Maintain solid working relationships with Logistics, Operations teams, and fellow operators.
- Participate in the Amrize Ready Mix Training Program provided.
- Operate electronic devices (tablets, GPS, etc.).
- Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving, and adhering to health, safety, and environmental policies in all work environments.
Education: Grade 12 or equivalent
Required
Work Experience:
Minimum of 1 year of related experience, with preference for those with construction and heavy equipment experience. Understanding of the building materials industry and product knowledge is an asset.
Required Training/
Certifications:
Class 3Q (Air Brakes) or Class 1Q driver’s abstract required.
- Flexible schedule; may require different shifts and weekend work.
- Able to lift 50 lbs. or more.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient at using electronic devices such as tablets.
- Relationship‑building with external customers and internal Amrize personnel.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
- Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong sense of teamwork.
- Adherence to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize‑approved personal protective equipment (PPE), including respirators. Employees required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face to pass fit tests.
