Staff Accountant

A dynamic boutique public accounting firm based on Long Island in Melville, NY is seeking a Staff Accountant to join their growing team.

EB Group CPAs LLP (the “Firm”) is a rapidly expanding boutique public accounting firm headquartered in Melville, NY. The Firm provides accounting, tax, and strategic advisory and consulting services to businesses spanning various industries, high net worth individuals, trusts, estates and other fiduciaries.

The Firm is seeking a Staff Accountant to support the accounting and tax service practice areas. The Staff Accountant will report to Managers of the Firm.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, tax, finance, or business administration
• 2 years of accounting, tax or bookkeeping experience preferred
• Strong accounting and analytical skills
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong ability to manage projects utilizing accounting best practices to efficiently prioritize tasks
• Strong experience with Microsoft Excel
• Experience with Quick Books is preferred

• Prepare accounting write-ups and analyze/communicate results to Management
• Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and other account reconciliations
• Prepare income tax returns for businesses and individuals
• Various special projects for Management
