Accountant
A reputable healthcare organization is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accountant to join their finance team. This position is based out of Melville office and provides an excellent opportunity for professional growth within a mission-driven environment.
What's in it for you:- Salary: $65,000-$75,000/year
- Location: Melville, NY
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, standard business hours
- Benefits: Medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k), tuition reimbursement, paid vacation, personal and sick time, 9 paid holidays
- Prepare monthly journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
- Analyze general ledger accounts for month-end and year-end closing
- Manage aging reports, vendor accounts, invoicing, and scheduled payments
- Perform account analysis and prepare work papers
- Utilize the company financial system (INFOR) for accounting functions
Complete special projects and other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum 2 years of accounting experience, including accounts payable
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
