We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Corporate Controller to lead our accounting and financial reporting functions. This individual will play a pivotal role in managing the financial health of the organization while leading the implementation and optimization of our enterprise financial systems.
PositionSummary
The Corporate Controller will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the accounting function, including financial reporting, audits, internal controls, and compliance. A key focus of this role is leading financial system implementations and enhancements, with a strong preference for Workday Financials experience. Candidates with SAP or Net Suite implementation experience will also be considered. The ideal candidate is a hands‑on leader who thrives in a fast‑paced, growth‑oriented environment and can build scalable financial processes that support ACHC’s expansion.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll accounting, and financial close.
- Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year‑end financial reporting.
- Maintain compliance with GAAP and all applicable regulations.
- Lead the implementation, integration, and optimization of Workday Financials (preferred), or SAP/Net Suite.
- Partner with IT, Finance, and Operations to align systems with business needs.
- Drive process automation and efficiency across all financial workflows.
- Establish and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Manage audits (internal and external), ensuring all regulatory and compliance requirements are met.
- Oversee adherence to healthcare‑specific financial regulations and reporting.
- Manage and develop the accounting team; provide mentorship and performance management.
- Partner with senior leadership to provide insights into financial performance and strategic initiatives.
- Support CFO with special projects, strategic planning, and M&A activity as needed.
- Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field;
Top‑tier academic institution strongly preferred (MBA highly desirable). - CPA required.
- 8–10+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership role.
- Hands‑on experience with financial system implementation (Workday Financials strongly preferred; SAP or Net Suite acceptable).
- Strong technical accounting knowledge (GAAP).
- Prior experience in healthcare, multi‑entity organizations, or high‑growth environments is highly desirable.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Results‑oriented, with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to build scalable systems and processes.
- Leadership presence with the ability to influence across departments.
- Comfortable in a fast‑paced, performance‑driven environment.
