Patient Account Representative

Work for one of the largest healthcare systems on Long Island! Our Patient Account Representatives are responsible for billing functions within Catholic Health Home Care and provide an integral resource for our teams.
- Schedule:
Monday‑Friday 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM - Location:
245 Old Country Road, Melville, NY - Great healthcare benefits
- Education reimbursement of $5,250 annually
- Processing Home Care billing for Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payers.
- Posting payments and adjustments to patients’ accounts.
- Review denials from payer sources and provide necessary follow‑up.
- Maintain Accounts Receivable reports to ensure payments have been received and posted accurately.
- Follow up with outstanding accounts electronically or by speaking to insurance companies.
- Obtain necessary insurance verification for coverage and run reports in Epic as necessary for financial or statistical purposes.
- Microsoft Office experience
- Electronic Medical Records experience, preferably Epic
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to troubleshoot rate discrepancies
- High school graduate with medical billing experience
- Demonstrated experience in Home Care billing preferred
- Computer experience working with insurance companies
- Strong problem‑solving ability and letter writing skills
- Courtesy, discretion, and professional manner
- Detail oriented
Salary Range: USD $25.00 - $28.00 /hour.
This range is a good faith estimate; actual pay will depend on qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience. The range does not include bonuses, incentives, differential pay, or other compensation that may be applicable. It also does not include the value of benefits.
