Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Patent Associate located in Melville, NY. The Associate will be responsible for tasks related to patent preparation, filing patent applications, assessing patentability, prosecuting patents and rendering intellectual property opinions.

Qualifications

• Patent prosecution and patent application preparation

• Possess a Patent Agent registration number

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, electronics, semiconductors, computer science or physics a must

• Strong analytical and research skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Detail-oriented

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

• Experience in Intellectual Property law is a plus

• Trademark filings and prosecution skills a plus
