Monday through Friday, 9:30 AM - 6:00 PM (full‑time onsite, Lab Tech I position in Melville, NY)
Compensation$18.00 per hour
Job SummaryAt Pace®, we are committed to continuously moving science forward to improve the health and safety of our communities and lives. Join us as a Lab Technician I in the sample preparation department of our environmental testing laboratory. You’ll receive all the training required to excel in this role and advance your laboratory sciences career.
What You’ll Do- Support all laboratory sample–related activities, including preservation, preparation, processing, and maintenance.
- Maintain and update appropriate documentation and databases.
- Participate in training on fundamental lab support policies, programs, and practices.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to perform work in a lab or office setting, remain standing for long periods while conducting tests, work around strong smells, and wear personal protective equipment while handling samples (lab coat, safety glasses, gloves – all PPE provided by Pace®).
- Experience in a laboratory or environmental testing setting is preferred, but not required.

Mobility to work in a lab and office setting; use of standard office and lab equipment; stamina to sit for extended periods of time. Work performed in a lab and office setting, subject to chemicals, fumes, gases, noxious odors, and related items in a lab and sample setting.
