ISLAND HARVEST has the following exciting position available in our Melville, New York office:
Job Description- Manage Program inventory, including scheduling, receiving, ordering, transferring and distributing.
- Conduct audits and process receipts.
- Assist with food distributions to low-income community members across Long Island.
- Connect individuals to community resources and educate them on local support.
- New client enrollment and database maintenance.
- 1-2 years’ experience in customer experience helping community members access services on Long Island.
- Previous experience in accounting or inventory management, preferably in the food or food services industry.
- Ability to lift 40 pounds while assisting with inventory management.
- Proficient in Microsoft applications
- Bi-lingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
- 40 hours per week Monday-Friday. Occasional Saturdays.
- Salary: $24.50 per hour
- Work in Nassau and Suffolk only
