The Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) Specialist ensures customer satisfaction by providing on‑site support, including order replenishment, product put‑away, Lean (6S), and equipment maintenance. The role partners with sales and business development teams to drive incremental revenue and growth through solutions.

• Drive MSC customer loyalty through the support and promotion of solutions.
• Collaborate with solution and sales associates to execute the CARE program.
• Maintain 6S appearance of all solutions equipment.
• Log daily activity in SFDC.
• Ensure appropriate stock levels (min/max) are maintained.
• Unpack, receive, and put away product at all solution points of use.
• Communicate with customer contacts to ensure retention of solutions.
• Drive product expansion through spot buy and incremental solution growth.
• Lead focus on 100% safety compliance for the VMIS team.
• Repair and maintain vending solution equipment to company standards.
• Recommend opportunities for solutions/spot buy growth and document in SFDC.
• Support shared profitability improvement goals within assigned accounts.
• Maintain knowledge of all inventory management solutions.
• Establish productive, professional relationships with key personnel in assigned customers.
• Maintain high customer satisfaction ratings that meet company standards.
• Utilize routing software tools to adhere to planned schedule and document daily activities.
• Maintain daily timekeeping using MSC approved applications.
• Foster the MSC culture in the department and throughout the company.
• Participate in special projects and perform additional duties as required.

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Inventory management or customer service experience preferred.
• Relevant military experience is a plus.

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.

• A valid driver’s license is required.
• The position requires over 80% daily travel within the assigned territory.
• Occasional overnight travel may be required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to walk, lift, bend, stretch, and stand for long periods.
• Willingness to adhere to customer safety and PPE protocols.
• Position may require access to ITAR and/or CUI information.

Compensation starts at $20–$21.50 per hour depending on location and experience. The range is based on similar roles in comparable industries; actual compensation is determined by experience, education, and market conditions.
