Role OverviewThe Senior Manager, Procurement leads the delivery and execution of strategic category plans and sourcing events for indirect categories of spend. This role collaborates with cross‑functional teams and external suppliers to drive transparent sourcing processes, develop strategic supplier partnerships, and mitigate risk. The manager optimizes total cost of ownership, enhances supplier performance, and supports business growth while overseeing contractual compliance and mentoring category managers.
Duties & Responsibilities Strategic Sourcing- Develop, lead, and manage large, complex sourcing events using market intelligence and business needs.
- Collaborate with senior leaders and stakeholders to ensure RFPs/competitive events are aligned with executive priorities.
- Accountable for building an opportunity pipeline and delivering savings to meet targets.
- Prepare all bid materials for RFIs, RFQs, RFPs, reverse auctions, and other strategies.
- Drive sourcing events to milestones, guiding teams and ensuring ethical and fair execution.
- Develop negotiation strategies and execute high‑stakes negotiations without compromising quality.
- Facilitate contract negotiations for agreements such as Master Service Agreements, NDAs, SOWs, and purchase orders.
- Ensure contracts reflect business needs, mitigate risk, and include total cost of ownership and pricing strategies.
- Lead change‑management plans for supplier transitions, minimizing disruption.
- Manage the full contract lifecycle and support business processes throughout.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to category stakeholders.
- Maintain market, supply‑base, and trend intelligence for the category.
- Provide regular updates, insights, and evaluations to stakeholders.
- Perform spend and supplier analysis, identifying key cost drivers.
- Proactively identify supplier risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Use analytics to assess financial implications of procurement initiatives.
- Proactively manage all procurement processes, adhering to business timelines.
- Ensure compliance with corporate procurement policies, regulations, and audit standards.
- Operate within a governance framework that promotes transparency and ethical practices.
- Reinforce standard tool utilization and drive procurement process adherence.
- Leverage technology tools and systems efficiently.
- Promote preferred supplier usage whenever possible.
- Provide financial transparency regarding purchasing commitments and savings forecasts.
- Support programs such as Sustainability and Diversity.
- Enable continuous improvement initiatives.
- Manage and develop key supplier relationships, implementing SRM practices and joint business planning.
- Monitor supplier performance through key metrics and contract compliance, updating stakeholders and addressing issues.
