Role Overview

As an Account Manager, your mission is to manage and grow customer accounts, drive profitability, and deliver an exceptional client experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and transfer shipments into the TMS accurately and efficiently
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers as a trusted consultant, advocate, and problem solver
  • Proactively communicate with customers to provide updates, anticipate issues, and ensure high satisfaction
  • Grow revenue within assigned accounts by identifying and developing new business opportunities
  • Identify key decision-makers within customer organizations to uncover opportunities, influence freight award decisions, and strengthen long‑term partnerships
  • Collaborate with Sales and Operations teams to evaluate pricing and improve gross margin (target: 20%+)
  • Assist with bids and rate setting to win and retain profitable freight
  • Maintain accurate data and documentation within internal systems to ensure smooth execution and accountability
  • Participate in weekly team meetings and contribute to overall team success
Requirements
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • 1–5 years of experience in 3PL or transportation brokerage
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, or a related field
  • Preferred experience in direct sales or deadline‑driven environments
  • Strong sense of urgency and accountability
