Role OverviewAs an Account Manager, your mission is to manage and grow customer accounts, drive profitability, and deliver an exceptional client experience.
Key Responsibilities- Build and transfer shipments into the TMS accurately and efficiently
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers as a trusted consultant, advocate, and problem solver
- Proactively communicate with customers to provide updates, anticipate issues, and ensure high satisfaction
- Grow revenue within assigned accounts by identifying and developing new business opportunities
- Identify key decision-makers within customer organizations to uncover opportunities, influence freight award decisions, and strengthen long‑term partnerships
- Collaborate with Sales and Operations teams to evaluate pricing and improve gross margin (target: 20%+)
- Assist with bids and rate setting to win and retain profitable freight
- Maintain accurate data and documentation within internal systems to ensure smooth execution and accountability
- Participate in weekly team meetings and contribute to overall team success
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- 1–5 years of experience in 3PL or transportation brokerage
- Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, or a related field
- Preferred experience in direct sales or deadline‑driven environments
- Strong sense of urgency and accountability
- Motivated by performance‑based compensation and earning potential
- Strong relationship‑building and client management skills
- Confident negotiator with a high sense of urgency
- Detail‑oriented with the ability to multitask in a fast‑moving environment
- Team‑oriented with a continuous improvement mindset
