Duration : 12 month contract (possible extension based on work performance)

Onsite Position
Payrate : $33-38 / hr.
ABOUT ROLE :SAP experience is mandatory as this role is intended to support the upcoming SAP project.
Description :This position will be assisting the Buyer / Planners in placing orders with suppliers using our SAP system. The candidate would be responsible for
- Placing orders routine orders with suppliers which have been approved by the Buyer / Planners
- Communicating with suppliers on order acknowledgments
- Tracing and tracking information as directed by Buyer / Planners
- Certain clerical functions related to buying and planning activities managed by the group

3. Excel and Word - Medium level
4. Other systems knowledge / experience with purchasing tools - SAP preferred. - Reports to Planning Manager with primary responsibilities including inventory management, project management and analysis of business opportunities.
- Plans to support the master production schedule. Interacts with Marketing, Engineering, Product Development, Procurement, suppliers, and others to maximize labor & material utilization.
- Ensure compliance to company guidelines, purchasing policies and procedures and manage inventory levels within budget.
- Analytical, numerically astute with strong demonstrated problem solving abilities, keen attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good written and oral communication skills are a must. Must demonstrate leadership and organizational skills.
- Establishes and maintains production material inventory and purchase plan to support master schedule.
- Maintains contact with the Production, Production Planning, Supply Chain, Quality, Procurement, Accounts payable and other departments.
- Maintains status of all raw materials and purchased component shortages that affect or will affect the assigned production lines.
- Executes purchase orders and changes to achieve optimum delivery of materials in economic lots.
- Ensures availability of purchased materials necessary to support the production plan while maintaining the inventory within budgeted limits.
- Coordinates the timely resolution of rejected purchased materials
- Actively participate in projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
