About the Role
The Pediatric Dental Care Front Desk Admin plays a key role in ensuring the smooth, efficient, and patient-centered operation of our pediatric dental practice. As the first point of contact for patients and their families, this position is responsible for creating a warm, professional, and welcoming environment that supports positive patient experiences.
Bilingual is a must for this position.
This role involves managing appointment scheduling, patient check-ins and check-outs, insurance verifications, billing inquiries, and maintaining accurate records—all while handling sensitive information with professionalism and confidentiality. The Front Desk Admin works closely with the dental team to coordinate patient flow and ensure the office runs seamlessly. Ultimately, this position is essential to fostering a friendly, organized, and compliant atmosphere that reflects the high-quality pediatric care we provide.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a pediatric dental office environment
- Basic knowledge of dental terminology and insurance processes
- Familiarity with pediatric dental insurance plans and billing procedures
- Certification in dental office administration or related healthcare administration
- Customer service or patient relations training
Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome patients and their families, ensuring a positive and comforting first impression
- Manage appointment scheduling, confirmations, cancellations, and rescheduling to optimize daily patient flow
- Verify insurance, process billing and payments, and address related inquiries with accuracy and discretion
- Maintain up-to-date patient records, including demographic, medical, and dental history information
- Coordinate communication between patients, dental staff, and external providers to support seamless care delivery
- Answer phone calls and emails promptly, providing clear information and assistance as needed
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and all regulatory requirements for patient privacy and data security
